One day they threw me in a cell
Locked the door and said farewell
I pondered my fate as I sat in my cell
I counted the bricks and bemoaned my new hell
I hated my cell, but I hated me more
I screamed and yelled and beat on the door
Then a voice whistled into my ear;
“The key to your cell is hidden in here”
I searched and searched as the years passed by
But the key stayed hidden no matter what I might try
Then one day in despair I picked up a book
Turned the page and a journey I took
I sailed the seas and flew to the starts
I plotted a course and landed on Mars
As I soared through space and travelled in to me
I freed my spirit and expanded my mind
I picked up another and continued to read
Then I humbled myself and got on my knees
A light bulb came on- Now I could see!
The key to my cell was hidden in me!!
